Of catching up and pulling ahead...

We've recently decided that, though press releases are nice, the public needs a less objective, less formal, more frequent update of the progress of Hartley.
So, today I'll start by talking about "Catching up and pulling ahead."
After our systems upgrade, which you may have just read about in a press release from July, we've hot-swapped and powered through a number of goals. Finally, we are down to a small list of goals leading us into our next title, and it feels very positive. Among these goals were to take time getting the news systems of Hartley and Parallel Game Studios up and running, and to begin a weekly letter like this one to the public.
In the extremely near future, we will begin large scale advertising campaigns to reach the 5000 player goal set back in July. We've taken a number of things slowly so that growth was constant and stable. As our list begins to shrink to maybe one page of legal sized note paper, it is time to speed up the growth.
Hartley is actively seeking a Game Sponsor. Though not all of our games will necessarily be sponsorable, Survival Guide: Dust Settles is. For the benefits and purchase information, please contact me directly at robert@hartleycorporation.com.
This sponsor will enjoy the benefit and publicity of our growth help mitigate the remaining overhead for that rapid expansion. And that's enough said.
A number of "closing" elements are in the works for Dust Settles. The game will have constant administration and open development by Hartley for the life of the game, whatever that may be. We are not intending on ending the development. There are plateaus of development, benchmarks, that must be reached. One such benchmark is near and will see the swapping rolls of primary administration to the development of the second title and the staff here that is primarily support will become Dust Settles' primary running staff. Along with that swap comes a new level, if you will, of our forums, improved DailyWheel.com functionality and design, new Dust Settles outer website, some "balance" improvements to the game's battle systems and economy, and, excitingly, a pair of fully animated videos. One for introduction and the other for walkthrough of new players.
Trophies which businesses, organizations, and individuals may sponsor will also make their more prominent debut as we've solidified the system over the past 30 days.
It is part of our mission to be open, honest, and in touch.
